One-Pan Savory Roasted Italian Sausage and Vegetables

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at FSU chapter.

Within an hour, you have a delicious hot pan of Italian sausage, squash, Brussels sprouts and onions. The preparation takes no effort, just a little chopping, mixing and placing in a roasting pan. Let your oven do the magic of fusing all of the flavors together and delivering a mix of tender ingredients.

Although the main ingredients of the recipe are specific, you can fix the amount of seasonings to your liking and use spicy Italian sausage instead of sweet. I like to chop up the sausage, add it to a bowl with the vegetables and toss it with some Italian dressing.

Preheat your oven to 400°F. Toss your squash, onion and Brussels sprouts with olive oil and salt in a large bowl.

In a roasting pan, spread out your seasoned vegetables. Poke a hole in each casing of the sausage links and nestle them amongst the vegetables.

#SpoonTip: Poking these holes lets juices seep out during cooking.

Roast for about 15-20 minutes. Flip over the sausage and let roast again for another 15-20 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven when the sausage is cooked and everything is tender.
