5 Memorable Recipes From Friends Worth Trying Out

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at FSU chapter.

We all know that Friends is a classic hit television show that will never get old – especially now that it’s so accessible on Netflix. While binge-watching the show for hours (guilty), you’re bound to come across the array of unique recipes featured on the show. After all, Monica is a renowned chef and we know Joey takes his food very seriously. Spice up your Netflix and chill dates by trying out these memorable dishes from the show:

1. Neslée Toulousé Chocolate Chip Cookies

No need to make over 20 batches of cookies like Monica. Phoebe’s grandma’s secret recipe has been revealed to the world and perfected over time. After all, the oh-so “secret” recipe did turn out to be good ol’ Nestle Toll House’s famous recipe.

2. Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwich

Finally, a recipe for a sandwich so irresistible your coworker would unwarrantedly steal it from you. Thankfully, we don’t have to bear Ross’s sandwich grief and can just make Monica’s iconic Thanksgiving leftover sandwich on our own.

3. Italian Meatball Sub

We all know Joey doesn’t share food, but this is especially true when it comes to anything pizza or sandwich-related – like his meatball sub. The sandwich he famously protected above all things when hearing gunshots in The One With the Ride Along. Nothing can get in between a man and his sandwich, especially when it’s this good

4. Fingernail Quiche

Nothing spices up a quiche more than blue fingernail. And if you’re as prepared as Monica’s mom was, you’ll have a dozen lasagnas ready for your quiche fail. Sprinkle some fingernails in this easy quiche.

5. Thanksgiving Trifle

If Monica’s fingernail quiche wasn’t gross enough for you, Rachel’s shepherd’s pie trifle certainly will be. In the uncertain words of Joey, “What’s not to like? Custard, good. Jam, good. Meat, good?”. Rachel’s Thanksgiving culinary failure is definitely worth trying out. Even though your stomach may hate you later.
