Cookies are delectable treats that are so simple, but are so much more. Cookies come in all flavors, but there are ways to maximize the flavor. These caramel filled molasses cookies not only have the sweetness of the molasses and spiciness of the cinnamon, but the caramel inside the cookie makes it all the more better.

  1. Preheat the oven to 375° fahrenheit

  2. Mix butter, egg, sugar and molasses together for about 2 minutes.

  3. Mix in the rest of the ingredients until well combined.

  4. Chill dough for 30 minutes.

  5. Roll dough into balls and place little pieces of caramel inside the dough. This part can be a little tricky, it works best if the caramel pieces are cut shorter with a knife.

  6. Alright, we’re almost there!

    Place the dough on cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.

    I’ve found using parchment paper works best.
