You may be set on your favorite restaurants, but there’s always room to add new ones to the list. As of this past winter and coming into Spring of 2022, many new Atlanta restaurants are opening and filling niche gaps in the current Atlanta food scene. Here are six new or soon-to-open eateries in and around Atlanta that you should add to your list.
Atrium
As of January 2022, the newly opened Atrium in Ponce City Market serves up a modern American fare in a colorful, one-of-a-kind space. Their bright blue leather booths, vibrant curtains, and art from local artists create a welcoming and fun dining experience aiming to reflect owner Tal Baum’s adventures with American food. Atrium’s current menu featuring a goat cheese flatbread, an array of seafood mains, their classic Atrium burger, and many more spins on American dishes only boosts the bold ambiance of the eatery. It’s also worth checking out their cocktail menu, which highlights a line of international-inspired cocktails that are sure to add to the otherwise colorful visit.
Beeline Bagels
Ever felt like you’re missing New York bagels and schmear while in your southern home? Well, soon Beeline Bagels will be offering fresh boiled and baked New York-style bagels right from their portable cart in Inman Park. Founded by Niki Hetchkop, the daughter of two Jewish New Yorkers, Beeline Bagels aims to bring the comfort of New York’s classic soft, doughy rings to the people of Atlanta. They keep the menu simple with a few selections of bagels and some schmears to accompany the bread-y goodness. If you see this little custom bagel cart during a future visit to Inman Park, I’d recommend running.
LeBon Nosh
Okay, I might be most excited for this one. LeBon Nosh is an all-day cafe, market, wine bar, and restaurant. Their daily selection of flaky French pastries is circulating on Eater Atlanta and other restaurant review websites like wildfire. A pastry and a coffee (or one of their heartier breakfast dishes) may be the perfect way to start your morning. It doesn’t have to end there, though. The morning cafe turns into a bustling eatery with a Persian-inspired menu sure to meet all your aesthetic and flavor desires. This new Atlanta restaurant relies on local farmers and artisans to fuel its mission of “the power of good food and eating well”. Whether you’re looking for a new breakfast cafe, a dinner date spot, or a late night cocktail, LeBon Nosh should definitely be your next Buckhead stop. I know it’ll be mine.
Dirty Rascal
If some of your current go-to restaurants are the General Muir, Fred’s Meat and Breads, or Wood’s Chapel BBQ, this newly opened eatery in Buckhead is worth checking out. Chef Ginsberg, the man behind this amazing group of restaurants, opened Dirty Rascal in January of 2022. His Italian-American culture is captured in the pasta dishes, carni courses, and desserts to bring you the comfort of a home-cooked meal. Dirty Rascal’s leather seats and hightop tables paired with the Italian-American flavor will no doubt take you back to the atmosphere of a traditional mid-century Italian restaurant like those found in the heart of New York City.
Pollo Supremo
Next up, a little more laid-back, but no less exciting, is Pollo Supremo. Their menu is simple. Pick however much of a bird you want (1/4 to a whole chicken), and it will come with fresh-made tortillas, rice, beans, and salsas. Choose to add some churros, esquites, or traditional Mexican drinks if you’re feeling adventurous. The restaurant’s large patio seating matches the simple style of the menu. Sit outside on the large picnic tables to meet other Atlanta foodies, or choose one of their inside booths for an old-school fast food experience. Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong with checking out Pollo Supremo in East Atlanta.
The Daily
Last, but certainly not least, The Daily is another up-and-coming Atlanta cafe. This West Midtown location serves up a range of seasonal toasts, wraps, bowls, and salads for any brunch occasion. If you can’t stay to eat, simply pick up farm fresh eggs, a loaf of sourdough, whipped feta dip, or some small batch granola to recreate your own cafe experience at home. Between The Daily’s main menu and their food and pantry selection, you can’t go wrong for breakfast. Not only will heading to this new Atlanta restaurant better your morning, but you will also support local artisans and the environment in the process. The Daily’s mission is to collaborate with artists and artisans in the south, as well as to keep carbon emissions low, two causes that need as much attention as they can get.
