These Fruit-Yogurt Push-Up Pops Will Take You Back to the Flintstones Age

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Elon chapter.

Some ’90s kids begged their parents to buy oatmeal creme pies or fruit roll-ups, but for me it was Flintstones push-up pops. Sherbet wrapped in a cardboard tube with attached plastic stick… no popsicle can beat that. And let’s be honest, pushing the sherbet up was one of the best parts of actually eating it.

Creamy, tangy, and sweet, this frozen treat made us wish we could push-up for eternity.

And in case anyone was wondering (which I know all of you were), push-up pops still exist! However, the Flintstones version has long gone disappeared. While Nestle has recreated the push-up, they’ll never be the same without Fred Flintstone on the packaging.

But on a happier note, did you know that sherbert is the incorrect spelling of sherbet even though many of us pronounce it as it looks. Did that not blow your mind?

For these push-up pops I decided to make them tri-colored, but you can use whatever ingredients you want. If you’re looking for a fruit-only popsicle, try this easy 7-step recipe. But maybe you want something more substantial (or alcoholic)… these frozen mixed drinks are perfect for a sunny day or day drink.

And if you’re like me and take your breakfast on-the-go, these greek yogurt parfait popsicles are a life-saver. Make them ahead of time and take them wherever you want.

Easy. Breezy. Beautiful. Fruit pops.
