These Cinnamon Apple Fries Are the Best Way to Get a Serving of Fruit

It’s recommended to get in at least a few servings of fruits per day. They don’t tell you how though. So why not fry them, cover them in sugar, whip up some sauce and dip em?

    Peel, core, and cut your Granny Smith apples into wedges

    Take the peeled and cored apples, and toss them in cornstarch, making sure there is an even layer over the apples

  3. Heat the oil in a large saucepan, with high sides, over high heat. Make sure the oil is hot enough by testing a smaller piece of apple and seeing if it fries. If it doesn’t, then leave the oil to heat for longer.

    Place the pieces of apple into the oil, and fry each of the pieces for about 3 minutes each, until golden brown and crispy.

    Take them out of the oil and place on a paper towel, to drain the oil.

    Mix together 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tbsp of cinnamon, mix and toss with apple fries.

    Mix the whipped coconut milk and vanilla extract together, place in a small sauce pot and serve next to the fries, adding cinnamon and sugar to the top of the sauce.
