Every weekend in October is a Fall Festival Weekend, which allows you to pick apples, pet farm animals, go on a hayride and enjoy fresh and delicious desserts. From country pies, caramel apples, local honey and homemade jellies to funnel cakes, you will find something sweet to satisfy everyone. You cannot leave without picking up Hershey’s hand-dipped ice cream and warm apple cider doughnuts, which are incomparable to any doughnut you have ever eaten.

Adventuring to Milburn Orchards is a great way to spend time with family and friends while frolicking through the pumpkin patches and apple orchards. If you come home with your freshly picked apples and blackberries and don’t know what to do with them, here is an easy and delicious recipe to inspire the fall festive chef in you.

To make the topping, mix the oats, brown sugar, flour and butter in another bowl. Use your fingertips to blend in the butter pieces until small clumps form and the butter is well incorporated, which should take about 2 minutes. Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the apples and blackberries. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the topping appears cripsy and the apples are tender.
