How to Pickle Red Onions

Have you ever wanted something low cal to spice up your boring everyday salad? Well here you have it. Pickled red onions are not only super easy to make, but they’re surprisingly delicious. Just chop up some onions and throw them in a jar with vinegar. Here’s to your new favorite topping.

Pickled Red Onions

Easy

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: Overnight
Total Time: 12 hours

Servings: 8

Ingredients:
1 red onion
2 cups apple cider vinegar

Equipment:
Mason Jar
Knife

Directions:
1. Remove the outer skin of the red onion.
2. Chop the onion in half and then vertically into thin strips.

3. Place the chopped onion into the mason jar and fill with enough apple cider vinegar to cover.

4. Seal the jar and leave it in the fridge over night.
