The 4-Ingredient Blueberry Peanut Smoothie Bowl You Need to Try

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Columbia Barnard chapter.

When it comes to smoothie bowls, there are a lot of options out there. Not to be confused with açai bowls, these can be made with all sorts of combinations of fruit and vegetables, with additions like yogurt, non-dairy milk, and protein powder. Smoothie bowls are essentially just thicker smoothies served in a bowl and topped with foods like fruit, nuts, coconut, and chia seeds. While buying this breakfast can get expensive, making your own vegan smoothie bowl is inexpensive and easy.

In terms of nutrition, smoothie bowls can be healthy, depending on what is added to them. This bowl only requires four ingredients including a serving of vegetables and protein without any added sugar! Another key element of a smoothie bowl concerns the toppings. While you could technically use anything, some of the best options are cacao, berries, non-dairy yogurt, and chia seeds so you get a mix of different textures.

Now, it’s time to blend up your breakfast.
