A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….
Sounds familiar right? This is the famous opening crawl from Star Wars, the story about lightsabers, space adventures, Jedis roaming the galaxy and most importantly the Skywalker family.
We all know how Anakin became Darth Vader in Episode III, but what if he never turned to the dark side in the first place? There are thousands of possibilities and it’s fun to read about the Star Wars alternate ending theories.
While I love a good alternative ending, I’m also a food enthusiast. I love to think about how awesome it would be if Anakin and the rest had their own bakery. What if Anakin defeated Palpatine and decided to settle down with his family far, far away from Coruscant? Yoda and Obi-Wan might even retire from the Jedi life too. They could all open a bakery and live happily ever after.
Padmé Amidala: Bakery Manager
No one would be better at managing the store and supervising staff than the former Queen of Naboo. She also served as senator after Palpatine became Chancellor, so she would have no problem handling administration work. Padmé is a caring and passionate leader who would protect her staff and make sure the bakery operates smoothly, competitors better watch out!
Master Yoda: Head Pastry Chef
Wouldn’t it be lovely if Yoda was in charge of creating new recipes and leading the baking team? Reasons he should be the pastry chef include that he is the wisest of the group, respected by all and knows how to motivate the whole team. After all, one of Yoda’s most popular quotes is “Do or do not. There is no try.”
Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi: Bakers
From master-padawan to close brothers, this duo has come a long way together. Bakers are natural multitaskers, surely the two would have no problem getting this job done. Just imagine Anakin using the Force to take hundreds of croissants out of the oven while making chocolate chip cookies, or Obi-Wan baking a red velvet cake and a chocolate lava cake at the same time. Plus, Luke and Leia could always lend a helping hand.
C-3PO: Cashier
Bubbly and chatty all the time, C3PO can get on your nerves but he would be great at entertaining customers. As he is fluent in six million forms of communication, C3PO can interact with customers from many backgrounds and attract international (or more like intergalactic) customers to the bakery.
R2-D2: Maintenance Expert
If the oven is broken or the stand mixers stop working, R2-D2 is the best droid to fix it. With an outstanding memory and ability to process information, R2-D2 can be Padmé’s right-hand man.
