Most people associate watermelon with summer, but cherries are also in peak season. I decided that using cherries and watermelon together in a refreshing sangria would be a great way to make use these fruits for the summer party season.
Since I grew up in Florida, Iām used to having tons of fresh citrus fruit availableĀ to me. However, there are tons of other seasonal fruits and vegetables that go unrecognized. I was recently shown a great guide to the foods of every seasonĀ where IĀ found that the produceĀ of the summer season are all ones that I love.
This sangria recipeĀ uses Chardonnay wine and Bacardi rumĀ but feel free to substitute any type and/or brand.
