DIY Momofuku Cereal Milk Smoothie

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Binghamton chapter.

Cereal: it’s a college kid staple. But by your six hundredth bowl of Special K, it’s understandable if you’re ready for something a little more gourmet. Momofuku Milk Bar in New York City makes an absolutely delicious concoction known as cereal milk ice cream, which tastes about like what you’d expect if you took that sugary, syrupy liquid you find at the bottom of your bowl after all the cereal has gone… and blended it….and turned it into ice cream.

In the spirit of Momofuku, here’s an insanely good cereal smoothie.

Easy

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 13 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:
1 cup flake cereal (try Frosted Flakes or Raisin Bran)
1/3 cup pure pumpkin puree
¾ cup milk of choice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon maple syrup, agave or honey (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

1. Add cereal, pumpkin, milk and cinnamon into a blender.

Tip: This will last several days in the fridge, so feel free to wait more than ten minutes if you want to save it for later!
