I’ll be honest, I always have the worst sugar-hangover on November 1st. My ravenous sweet tooth goes crazy on any holiday that is centered around sweets and eating (I’m looking at you, Halloween). But even with a pounding headache…I still want something sweet.
After Halloween I’m always left with random pieces of candy lying around. If you’re anything like me and love combining baked goods with candy, here are three recipes to use leftover Halloween candy in a mug cake.
Hershey’s Chocolate Mug Cake
Ingredients
Instructions
In a separate bowl, mix together all of dry ingredients and then stir in the milk and melted butter until no clumps appear.
Add 1/3 of the batter into your mug and place one chocolate bar on top.
Add another 1/3 of the batter and place another chocolate bar on top.
Cover with the remaining batter.
Microwave for 1 minute and then for 15 second bursts until fully cooked.
Snicker’s Oatmeal Cookie Mug Cake
Ingredients
Instructions
Mix together milk, butter, and sugar.
Add in oats, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Stir to combine and then fold in the chopped up Snickers’ bars.
Microwave for 30 seconds and then 15 second bursts until fully cooked (cake should spring back when touched).
M&M Chocolate Chip Cookie Mug Cake
Ingredients
Instructions
Add sugars, melted butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract into your mug and stir to combine.
Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt.
Fold in chocolate chips and Mu0026M’s, making sure that both are evenly distributed in the batter.
Microwave for 1-2 minutes until inside is fully cooked.
