Las Vegas is the city known for vibrant nightlife and neon signs. While traveling to Las Vegas this past month, I realized that there was so much to offer, other than clubbing and gambling. With a diverse tourism industry, Vegas has one of the most diverse food scenes in the Southwest. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to try a variety of authentic Asian restaurants and found quite a few I liked. Here are ‘5 Asian Restaurants You Need to Try in Las Vegas’ during your next visit to Sin City.
1. China Mama – Chinese
China Mama is by far my favorite restaurant on this list. With charming service and a laidback atmosphere, it serves hearty Chinese cuisine that is hard to forget. As the interior just got renovated, customers enjoy their meals in a comfortable, brightly lit dining setting. This restaurant not only has the classics, such as the honey walnut shrimp but also houses traditional dishes that are less common in the states. Come to this place if you’re feeling adventurous and want to try something unconventional. I personally recommend trying the pork stuffed pockets, pickled fish mustard soup, and the hot n spicy chicken.
2. Jinya Ramen Bar – Japanese
If you’re feeling patient, this ramen restaurant is worth the wait. Jinya Ramen Bar is a trendy, small eatery with dimly lit booths and sleek wooden tables. With a classic, clean ambiance and friendly waiters, this ramen bar is the perfect place to go if you’re on a date with your friends or significant other. Although it is a fairly crowded establishment, I was still able to have intimate conversations with my family and enjoy my meal without being rushed. One surprising perk is that this restaurant is usually open until 3 am, which means it’s catered towards the 20-something crowd who might be craving soup after a night out. Although the entire menu was delicious (yes I tried multiple things), I recommend trying the takoyaki balls, jinya bun, and tonkatsu spicy ramen.
3. Biwon Korean BBQ and Sushi Restaurant All You Can Eat
This unique Korean/Japanese fusion restaurant not only offers is Korean barbecue, but also has an ‘all you can eat’ style sushi deal. In this restaurant, servers are attentive to all your individual needs, without you having to feel like a bother. The fish is fresh, the meat is delightful, and the appetizers could be a main dish on their own. On the menu, you can choose AYCE (all you can eat) sushi or Korean barbecue. If you feel like doing both, it’s 30 dollars per person. While it is definitely a splurge, Biwon is definitely worth every penny. I would highly recommend trying the combo deal at least once in your life. Time to add it to the bucket list!
4. Pho Kim Long Restaurant – Vietnamese
There is nothing more soothing than drinking a warm soup the day after a long night out. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, look no farther than Pho Kim Long, a reasonably priced Vietnamese restaurant in the midst of Las Vegas’ Chinatown. Open 24 hours, this restaurant is perfect for hangovers and late night cravings after a night of clubbing away. With fast service, great portions, and piping hot soup, this is easily a hidden gem in Las Vegas. While any type of soup is enjoyable, I recommend trying the pho tai chin and the honey pork rib (in case you don’t want soup).
5. Weera Thai Restaurant – Thai
Weera Thai Restaurant is a reasonably priced restaurant, with fragrant flavors and busy lines. While it may not seem like a four-star restaurant, as the exterior looks shabby and worn down, the food is rich in spices and herbs. To make things more catered towards the 21+ aged crowd, there is even a happy hour special from 4 pm-7 pm. Not only do they serve delicious cocktails and drinks at reasonable prices, but they also have authentic Thai special priced dishes! I recommend trying the lychee mojito, tom yum soup, and the Panang curry.
So what are you waiting for? Book a trip to Las Vegas with your pals, and get ready to ‘treat yourself’ with savory Asian cuisine. It’s time to plan an unforgettable trip!
