This Clever Hack Uses a Clothing Iron to Make a Grilled Cheese

I think we can all agree that one of life’s greatest pleasures is grilled cheese. You know, it’s two toasty pieces of bread with a whole bunch of melted cheese in the middle, sound familiar? Yeah, we thought so. 

One problem, you can’t make it in your dorm room. Until now, that is. It turns out that clothing irons actually double as grilled cheese makers. Just make sure you have tin foil though because it can get very messy without it. 

Clothing Iron Grilled Cheese

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 8 minutes
  • Total Time: 13 minutes
  • Servings: 1 sandwich

Ingredients
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 slices cheese

Step 1

Butter both slices of bread and place on a square of tin foil.

Step 2

Place slices of cheese on one piece of bread and then cover with the other piece.

Step 3

Wrap up in tin foil and place on top of a textbook or hard surface.

Step 4

Iron for about 4 minutes on each side.

Unwrap and dig in.
