This Cheeseburger Sushi Will Blow Dinner Out of the Water

Everyone loves a classic summertime cookout. But eating barbecue, burgers and hot dogs every weekend can get a little old. So, spice up your next shindig with this unique take on a cheeseburger. Let everyone customize their own sushi and tell them to get creative. Swap out traditional toppings for a unique flavor. Add in bacon, jalapeño or avocado – no topping is out of the question. It might get messy, but no matter what, just roll with it.

Cheeseburger Sushi

  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients
  • 3 burger buns
  • 8 oz flank steak
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 1/2 onion
  • 4 oz head of lettuce
  • 1 whole tomato
  • 3 oz ketchup
  • 3 oz mustard

Step 1

Cook the flank steak until done to your liking.

Step 2

Flatten burger buns on top of a sushi mat, creating a rectangle.

Step 3

Place the flank steak, cheese, onion, lettuce and tomato (or your desired toppings) on one side of the mat, then roll.

Step 4

Slice it up to create small rolls, then enjoy with some ketchup and mustard.
