This Bacon-Wrapped Pie Combines All Your Favorite Breakfast Foods

This pie brings together the most glorious foods on the savory side of the breakfast food spectrum: bacon, hash browns, egg, and cheese thrown together in a pie and covered in a light maple syrup glaze. Instead of going out and splurging on brunch next weekend, invite your friends over and impress them all with this instead. It will feel just as luxurious. We promise.

Bacon-Wrapped Breakfast Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust
  • 2 cup whole milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 green onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 2 cup shredded potatoes
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Step 1

Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

Add cheese, shredded potatoes, chopped green onion, and three strips of cooked, crumbled bacon.

Divide mixture equally between two 9-inch pie crusts.

Step 4

Bake at 350° F for 30-35 minutes, until both pies have set. Remove pies and raise oven temperature to 450° F.

Step 5

Weave bacon over pies. Brush with maple syrup.

Step 6

Return pies to oven and bake at 450° F for 10-15 minutes, until bacon is done.

#SpoonTip: Wrap the sides of your pie pans with aluminum foil to prevent burning, and place pie pans in larger pans to prevent grease overflow.

Let pies sit for 5 minutes before serving.
