Instead of just eating food that can relieve stress, why not make some? Whenever one of my siblings or I am stressed out, my mom has us make these five-ingredient oatmeal cookies. I’m convinced it’s because she always wants them around the house because they taste so good, but she’d tell you otherwise. However, the stash never lasts for more than two days…talk about suspicious.

The stress relief for this recipe comes from the act of actually making the cookies. Mixing the butter into the dough works like one of those stress-relief balls, but with a plus: You get to eat it at the end.

So whether you are stressed about school, relationships, life in general, or just want a good oatmeal cookie, make these. Not only will they relieve some stress, but they are pretty damn good too.
