No need to reach for the burgers or brats, though; these turkey burgers prove that you don’t need red meat to enjoy yourself at a barbecue. Throw in some ginger zest into the patty, and add a nice spread of Sriracha mayo to your toasted bun in order to maximize satisfaction and minimize post-barbecue belly aches.
Ginger-Sriracha Turkey Burgers

Combine ground turkey, chopped red onion, minced parsley, zested ginger root, garlic powder, pepper, and salt.
Form balls out of meat mixture, and flatten into patties.
Grill (or fry on the stovetop) each patty for 7 minutes each side.
Combine mayo and Sriracha as a dipping sauce, then serve all together on a bun with cheese, lettuce, tomato, or other toppings of choice.
