These Creative Watermelon Recipes Will Give You Some Yummy Summer Inspo

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UVM chapter.

Strawberry, Watermelon, Feta, and Mint Cucumber Salad

This recipe is the perfect cool-down on a hot day! You can either use a lemon poppyseed vinaigrette or a homemade balsamic vinaigrette.

Boozy Watermelon Slushies (Frose)

You just need a blender, watermelon, sugar, water, and a good bottle of wine to complete this boozy summer cocktail. Bottoms up!

Watermelon Salsa

Skip the tomatoes and go for the watermelon! This recipe pairs well with fresh summer tacos or anything straight off the grill.

Watermelon Pizza

This recipe is perfect for kids (we make it often with our summer camp kiddos). You’ll just need watermelon (cut into rounds), fresh fruit (e.g., kiwi, blueberries, strawberries, sliced bananas, mango, etc.), and a sweet sauce. Our campers love to use Nutella or frosting, but whipped cream cheese can also provide a lower sugar option.

Watermelon Fries with Coconut Lime Dip

This recipe is super quick, easy, and a good snack to keep around.

Watermelon Jello

In case you were wondering what to do with the leftover watermelon rind once you scoop out the delicious-ness inside.

Watermelon Mint Lemonade

This recipe screams picnic! You can decide on how much sugar to add on top of the watermelon; I like my lemonade tart!
