Spooktacular Cocktails

With Halloween quickly approaching, deciding your plans for each night can be tiring. Even more irritating can be drinking the same Smirnoff and coke you drink every other night. For a weekend as (un)memorable as Halloween, you need to have a go-to cocktail to kick start those otherwise monotonous pregames. I got you covered.

Witch’s Brew

Ingredients

6 ounce package of lime gelatin
2 cups boiling water
3 cups chilled pineapple juice
2 liters Sprite or Ginger Ale
2 cups chilled vodka
Cauldron

Directions:

1. Pour the gelatin mix in a bowl and stir in the boiling water until the gelatin is dissolved.
2. Stir in the pineapple juice and let the drink cool to room temperature.
3. Pour the drink into a cauldron for effect. Stir in the vodka and Sprite to mix.

 

Pumpkin Spice Halloween Punch

Total Time: 24 hours
Servings: 12-16

Ingredients

2 apples
2 pears
1 orange
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ cup hone
¼ cup brown sugar
1 cup bourbon
3 cups apple cider
2 bottles pinot grigio
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 pumpkin for serving

Directions

1. Thinly spice the apples, pears, and orange. Place in a large bowl.
2. Coat the fruits with lemon juice.
3. Add honey, brown sugar, bourbon, apple cider, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir mixture.

4. Refrigerate overnight.
5. Top with pinot grigio.
6. Cut out the top of a large pumpkin, remove seeds, and pour punch inside.
