How to Spice Up Your Tofu Using Only 4 Ingredients

For many, tofu can be pretty intimidating. It’s slimy, pale, and just plain ugly. But don’t let its appearance scare you — it’s arguably one of the healthiest proteins out there.

Whether you want it as a snack or a meal, this recipe is the quickest and easiest way to add flavor to an otherwise bland tofu dish. Not to mention, you’ll feel like a total badass eating soybean curds.

Spicy Pan-Fried Tofu

    Cut tofu into 9 rectangular blocks.

    Marinate tofu evenly with soy sauce and Sriracha sauce for 15 minutes.

    #SpoonTip: The longer you marinate the tofu, the more flavorful it will be.

    Add vegetable oil, tofu, and marinade to pan on medium-high heat. If you have a grilled skillet pan, use that instead.

    Let tofu sit for 5 minutes on each side or until browned. Top with more Sriracha sauce, if desired.
