Friendsgivings are the new fad taking over the holiday scene. To many, this means stuffing your face with buttery, cheesy, and meat-filled foods with a bunch of your closest friends. But what if you, and your friends, happen to be vegan? Saving animals doesn’t have to take the fun out of the holidays. In fact, even meat eaters will devour these fluffy treats. Garlic sage biscuits are only the start to a holiday season of guilt-free good food.
Vegan Sage Garlic Buscuits
Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pour 1 cup of the soy creamer into a bowl along with the apple cider vinegar. Whisk and set aside to allow the mixture to curdle.
Finely chop the sage and garlic.
Melt vegan butter in a small frying pan. Cook sage and garlic for about 2 minutes or until the garlic is browned. Immediately pour the mixture onto a paper towel to cool.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add in the cooled sage and garlic.
Pour the soy mixture in with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to over mix!
Generously flour a flat surface and roll out dough until it’s about 3/4 of an inch thick.
Use a circular cookie cutter with a diameter of 3 inches to cut out the biscuits. Repeat until all the dough is used.
Place circles on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each biscuit with extra soy creamer to ensure they come out golden brown.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden. Enjoy these warm, flaky biscuits with extra vegan butter and your best friends.
