Roasted Chickpeas

Chickpeas are usually known as hummus, in falafel and as a salad topping. But roasted they can also be used as a healthy alternative to popcorn. For those of us who can’t resist chewing the kernels at the bottom of the bag, roasted chickpeas taste similar — and won’t break your teeth.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 35

Servings: 2

Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Drain can of chickpeas.

3. Spread chickpeas across a baking pan.

4. Drizzle olive oil on chickpeas.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
