  • BISCUITS:
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • TOPPING:
  • 3 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley leaves OR 1 teaspoon dried parsley leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    Preheat the oven to 450ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

    In a large bowl, quickly whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.

    In a small bowl or liquid measuring cup, combine the buttermilk with the melted butter.

    Pour the buttermilk mixture over the flour, then mix together with a rubber spatula.
