    Ingredients

  • For the scones:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsps butter frozen grated
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • half and half for brushing
  • For the glaze:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp almond milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves

    To begin, preheat your oven to 350°. Gather all of your ingredients. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add all of your dry ingredients together (flour, salt, spices, and baking powder).

    On a separate bowl, grate 6 tablespoons of frozen butter using a microplane or a grater.

    Next, add the butter in the bowl with the dry ingredients and use your hands or a scraper to mix it all together, until the dough is coarse and crumbly. Set aside.

    In a separate bowl, mix all of your wet ingredients together. This includes the pumpkin, greek yogurt, egg, and brown sugar. Use a whisk or an electric blender to incorporate everything together.

    Flour a plain surface, throw your dough on top, and begin to knead. Use a plastic scraper to incorporate everything together, and add flour as needed.

    Form the dough into a ball and use a rolling pin to flatten it into a disk. With a knife, slice 8 to 12 triangle shaped pieces.

    Place the triangles on a prepared sheet tray, and using a pastry brush, brush the scones with half and half. You can also use an egg wash if you prefer. Then, add raw sugar on top, and bake for approximately 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.

    For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, almond milk, maple syrup, and cinnamon until the glaze reaches the desired consistency.

    Once the scones are cooled, drizzle the glaze over the scones, and wait for the glaze to settle. Serve with a cup of coffee or a pumpkin spice latte and enjoy!
