Nothing Says Late Night College Food Like This Bloomin' Onion Cheesy Bread

Move over Domino's Cheesy Bread, here is a homemade bloomin' onion cheesy bread recipe that will make any drunk college kid's night amazing. This bread is loaded up with cheese, butter, cheese, onions, and more cheese. Paired with a tangy bloomin' onion sauce, this pull-apart cheesy bread is a perfect appetizer or meal. Whatever you prefer, there's no judgement here. 

Bloomin' Onion Cheesy Bread

Ingredients
  • 1 sourdough bread loaf
  • 16 oz Jack cheese sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup white onions diced
  • 1/2 cup green onions finely diced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili pepper

Step 1

Cut the loaf of bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting through to the bottom.

Step 2

Melt the butter on medium heat and add onions.

Step 3

Put the loaf onto a foil wrapped baking sheet and pour the butter-onion mixture into the cut bread.

Stuff cheese slices between the cuts of the bread.

Step 5

Sprinkle the green onions over the loaf then put in the oven at 375°F for 30 minutes.

Step 6

While the loaf is baking, mix the ketchup, mayo, horseradish, pepper, salt, chili pepper, and oregano in a bowl to make your dipping sauce.

Step 7

Keep in the oven for extra 5 minutes to get extra crispy then enjoy with your sauce.
