My mother (aka Mel) has passed down all kinds of wisdom, some pieces of which are more useful than others. This salad is filed under the former. For something healthy, crunchy, fresh and flavorful, this is just the ticket. Best of all, the surprise dressing has some healthy side effects. Bragg’s Liquid Amino Acids is a soy sauce substitute, and it delivers all the salty punch of its caloric alternative, without any calories at all. Flax seed oil is the olive oil to Bragg’s vinegar, if you will, and is full of its own nutritional benefits like fiber and Omega-3 fatty acids. Just beware: the Bragg’s packs quite the punch, and you don’t need much.
