The holidays are coming in fast, but with that can bring the angst and anxiety of finals. This pie will alleviate all your stress. Just think of Canadians, embodied in this maple syrup pie recipe. Ahh. So nice.

Plus, December 17th is National Maple Syrup day in the US.

Maple Syrup Pie

Ingredients
  • I package frozen pastry dough thawed
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • Unsweetened whipped cream to taste

Step 1

Take your flour and dust it over your 8 in baking dish.

Step 2

Unroll your pastry dough onto your baking dish and crimp the edges. Set aside.

Step 3

Combine light brown sugar, eggs, heavy cream, and melted butter. Mix thoroughly.

Step 4

Pour this mixture into the baking dish and bake for 50 minutes at 350° until the pastry dough is golden brown and flakey.

Top it off with unsweetened whipped cream and devour.
