The Easiest Way To Make Your Own Chocolate Bar
Alright, everyone, I have a confession to make: I'm a total chocoholic. Like my fellow chocoholics all around the globe, I love eating chocolate of all kinds - from sweet to bitter, solid to melted, and so much more, I love it all. Ask any chocolate lover what his or her chocolate dream is, and the answer will most definitely be to make his or her very own custom chocolate bar. If you, my friend, are a fellow chocoholic, maybe this is a dream of yours, too! Sadly, we can't all take a trip to Hershey's Chocolate World to create our own sweet treat, but that doesn't mean our custom chocolate bar dreams are out of reach! This simple ice tray hack is the easiest way to make your own chocolate bar.
I'd been dying to try this ice tray hack for a long time and, after giving it a shot, I can 100% guarantee that I will be doing it again. This seriously is the easiest way to make your own chocolate bar! With so many individual slots available in a tray, using an ice tray also offers a ton of customization. My ice trays had fourteen cube slots each, so I came up with seven different filling ideas: Snickers (caramel sauce and peanuts), peanut butter, white chocolate peppermint chunks, rice crispy cereal (inspired by the delicious Crunch bar 😍), peanuts, s'mores (mini marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs), and crushed pretzels. YUM! Feel free to borrow some of my ideas, or go totally unique with your own!
A quick note before the recipe: The ingredient amounts shown below apply to one 14 chocolate bar serving. If your ice tray has more or less slots than this, you might want to up or lower the ingredient totals a bit to fit your particular ice-tray-needs. Another note: My family loves both milk chocolate and dark chocolate, so I chose to double this recipe and use 12 ounces of both milk chocolate and dark chocolate, which gave me a 28 chocolate bar serving. I highly suggest you do the same - not only because it means you have different styles of chocolate to choose from, but also because it means more chocolate in general. 😉 Feel free to use milk chocolate, white chocolate, bittersweet chocolate . . . let your imagination run wild!
