Leftover Halloween Candy Bark Recipe

After waking up from my Halloween sugar coma, I realized that I had an insane amount of candy in my house. Being the responsible semi-adult that I am, I wanted to repurpose my candy, so to speak. Naturally, the first question that popped into my mind was, what does Halloween candy go really well with? The obvious answer: chocolate. After all, who doesn’t like a little bit of chocolate with their chocolate? Add some festive sprinkles and some pretzels or nuts and BAM! You’ve just made yourself some tasty Halloween candy bark.

Easy

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
1 bag chocolate chips of your choice
Leftover Halloween candy, chopped
Sprinkles
Nuts, pretzels and other salty goods, optional

Directions:

1. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Place a heatproof bowl over water and add in ¼ to ½ bag of chocolate chips (depending on how much leftover candy you have). Continually stir chocolate chips until melted.

2. Pour melted chocolate onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, spread into an even layer and immediately put crushed up candy, sprinkles and other toppings onto melted chocolate.

3. Place baking tray into the freezer for 10 minutes to harden the chocolate.

4. Remove tray and break up bark with knife. Indulge yourself and enjoy.
