If You Haven’t Had Taco Pie, You Haven’t Lived
In my humble opinion, tacos are one of the most (if not the most) important food groups and they hold a very special place in my heart. So special, in fact, that if I were President for a day and got to pass one law, it’d be to make every Tuesday Taco Tuesday. Tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even a midnight snack. Talk about making America great again, am I right?
Since I have yet to be elected President for a day to put this law into effect, I have fashioned the next best thing: The Taco Pie.
Taco Pie
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 20 minutes
- Servings: 6
- Medium
Ingredients
- 6 flour tortilla
- 1 jar salsa
- 1 pkg taco seasoning
- 2 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 cup monterrey jack cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
Step 1
Preheat oven to a whopping 400°F.
Step 2
In a skillet of your choosing, combine ground beef and taco seasoning. Cook according to taco seasoning directions.
Step 3
Once cooked, pour a lil’ bit of meat mixture to the bottom of a baking pan.
Step 4
Top that bad boy off with a flour tortilla.
Step 5
Next, spread the tortilla with beef, salsa, and, most importantly, cheese. Repeat x5.
Step 6
Finally, once you’ve finished smothering your dish in cheese, throw it into the oven to bake until that cheese turns a beautiful golden brown (about ten minutes).
Step 7
Remove from oven and go to Flavortown!
