In my humble opinion, tacos are one of the most (if not the most) important food groups and they hold a very special place in my heart. So special, in fact, that if I were President for a day and got to pass one law, it’d be to make every Tuesday Taco Tuesday. Tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even a midnight snack. Talk about making America great again, am I right?
Since I have yet to be elected President for a day to put this law into effect, I have fashioned the next best thing: The Taco Pie.
Taco Pie
Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat oven to a whopping 400°F.
In a skillet of your choosing, combine ground beef and taco seasoning. Cook according to taco seasoning directions.
Once cooked, pour a lilâ bit of meat mixture to the bottom of a baking pan.
Top that bad boy off with a flour tortilla.
Next, spread the tortilla with beef, salsa, and, most importantly, cheese. Repeat x5.
Finally, once youâve finished smothering your dish in cheese, throw it into the oven to bake until that cheese turns a beautiful golden brown (about ten minutes).
Remove from oven and go to Flavortown!
