How to Make Sweet and Crispy Apple Pie Tacos

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at American chapter.

Sure, apple puff pastries and turnovers are nice, but they are so last year. Mix up your pastry game and use puff pastry dough to make apple pie tacos. The fluffy and crisp taco shells give your pastry an extra bite.

In the pastry dough, cut out a circle, about the size of a taco. Place the circle on the back of a greased muffin tin.

  2. Using a fork, poke the circle with a few small holes (this will prevent it from breaking in the oven).

Whisk egg in a bowl with milk to create an egg wash. Add the egg wash to the dough.

  4. Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes.

  5. Once removed from the oven, allow the pie crust to cool.

Microwave the apple pie filling for 1 minute and scoop it into the pastry taco. Top taco with a scoop of ice cream and caramel sauce. Enjoy!
