How to Make Gluten, Nut and Dairy Free Puppy Chow

Picture this: It’s been a long night of studying and you and your roommate are in need of a snack break. Plot twist: now imagine that you’re gluten-free and your roommate is nut free. WTF are you supposed to make? Well, this is the reality that my roommate and I live on and struggle with every day.

If, like us, you’re cursed with a food intolerance or allergy and have struggled to find foods that you can make in your oven-less dorm room, then we’ve got a solution for you. This simple five step puppy chow recipe is easy to make, is gluten, nut, and dairy-free and tastes so good that your friends will not know that anything is missing.

Gluten, Nut, and Dairy Free Puppy Chow

Ingredients
  • 1 box gluten free Chex cereal
  • 1/2 cup sunbutter
  • 1 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • endless powdered sugar

Step 1

Pour a box of your favorite flavor of gluten free Chex cereal into a bowl.

 

Step 2

Mix the sunbutter into the bowl with the Chex. Stir the mixture until all pieces are covered with sunbutter.

Step 3

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between.

Step 4

Combine the chocolate with the Sunbutter covered Chex Cereal. Stir until the chocolate is evenly dispersed.

Step 5

Top your mix with sprinkles of powdered sugar and stir until each piece is coated with sugar.
