As a native Filipino, I find myself craving food from my culture that can’t found at most grocery stores in the U.S. One of these dishes—that every Filipino reading this knows well—is the famous and beloved chicken Adobo. 

For any college student, this simple recipe is an effortless yet effective way to impress your friends and your family for any lunch or dinner. You only need one pot and a handful of ingredients you can find in most pantries.

    Add chicken, chicken broth, garlic cloves, distilled white wine vinegar, soy sauce and sugar into a pot.

    Set pot over high heat. Cook for 10 minutes, then add Bay leaves. Cover the pot and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Plate and serve (alongside rice and vegetables if you desire).
