How to Make Delicious Chocolate Caramel Oatmeal Squares
Nothing beats the combination of gooey caramel, chocolate chips and sweet oats. These squares have it all and are surprisingly simple to make too.
Chocolate Caramel Oatmeal Squares

Ingredients
- 64 wrapped caramels
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 2 cup flour
- 2 cup oats
- 1.5 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1.5 cup softened butter
- 2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Step 2
Unwrap caramels. Melt caramel and evaporated milk on low heat until smooth in a medium saucepan.
Step 3
Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and baking soda in a large bowl. Cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly.
Step 4
Press half of the flour and butter mixture into a 15 x 10 inch pan.
Step 5
Bake for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Remove crust from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips. Pour caramel on top and then sprinkle remaining crumbs.
#SpoonTip: Substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips for milk or dark chocolate.
Step 7
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8
Let cool and then cut into squares.
