How to Make Classic Pasta Bolognese

This sauce is a go-to for any person trynna make something simple and satisfying AF without breaking the bank.

Add red wine to this recipe to add some depth of flavor and then serve yourself a glass of that exact wine to celebrate your success.

Pasta Bolognese

Ingredients
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Olive oil

Step 1

In a pot over a medium heat, drizzle olive oil coating the pot.

Step 2

Add onions and garlic, stirring occasionally until onions soften. Should take about 7 minutes.

Step 3

Add carrots and celery and cook until soft. Should take another 7 minutes.

Step 4

Add ground beef, breaking up all of the meat with a SPOON. Cook until browned, about 10 minutes.

Step 5

Pour the red wine over the meat and cook until burned off. About 5 minutes.

Step 6

Add can of tomatoes, basil, and parsley. Stir together for a few minutes, cover the pot, and then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 30 minutes until the sauce comes together.

Step 7

Serve over pasta and zucchini noodles with freshly grated cheese and basil.
