French Onion Soup Dumpling Bites

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 onions, sliced thinly
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper
  • muffin tin
  • cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1.5 teaspoon chopped rosemary or thyme

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. In a medium sized saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Pour in the onions, and cook for a few minutes.

Step 2

Add in the sugar, salt, pepper, thyme, and worcestershire sauce and continue to cook.

Step 3

Add beef broth and cook for 20 minutes until onions are brown and soup has thickened.

Step 4

Spray muffin tin with cooking spray and place a wonton wrapper into each muffin hole.

Step 5

Spoon the onion soup mixture into the wonton.

Step 6

Top with swiss and parmesan cheese.

Bake in the oven until golden brown for about 10-12 minutes.
