How to Make Caffeinated Overnight Oats So You Can Skip Your Morning Cup of Coffee

Hitting the snooze button three times might give you those few minutes of extra z’s, but it can also mean missing breakfast and that essential morning dose of caffeine. Before you rush off to your earliest class on an empty stomach, give overnight oats a try.

A cold riff on oatmeal, it’s an endlessly versatile breakfast with a simple three-step process — just add, stir and refrigerate — that’s easy enough for anyone to make. This recipe combines coffee with chocolaty cocoa powder and protein-packed Greek yogurt for a filling (and trendy) meal. Just combine the ingredients in a jar the night before and you’re good to go to power through the day.
