How to Make Banana Split Truffles

Banana splits are among some of the most popular summer treats. A boat of ice cream, sitting a top a split banana, layered with fudge, sprinkles, and topped with a cherry on top, it is an old-time favorite. This recipe gives you this diner favorite in the convenience of a truffle.

Gluten free and melt free (sorry ice cream lovers) this treat is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Banana Split Truffles

Ingredients
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 12 oz white chocolate melting chips
  • 4 oz dark chocolate melting chips
  • Sprinkles
  • Red M&Ms

Step 1

Blend 1/2 of a large banana until liquified.

Blend 2 cups of white chocolate chips into liquified banana until creamy.

Step 3

Heat 1/3 cup of heavy cream on medium heat in a sauce pan. Remove once bubbles start forming on outside of pan, do not boil.

Step 4

Add hot cream to banana and white chocolate mixture. Mix well and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 5

Roll chilled ganache mix into 1 inch balls. Use powdered sugar on hands and surface to avoid sticking. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Microwave 12 oz of white chocolate melting chips until melted, stir periodically.

Step 7

Dip chilled ganache balls into melted chocolate coating. Chill until chocolate is hardened.

Step 8

Time to decorate Drip melted dark chocolate onto truffles to get “hot fudge” affect. Top off with sprinkles and a red candy.
