How to Make a Spinach Smoothie Bowl That Actually Tastes Good

I also call this one: “How to Clean Out Your Fridge and Channel Your Inner LA Hipster.” Fitting, I think, for the smoothie recipe that raided my freezer for the better, but also prompted my roomie to ask why the hell I was using a bowl. Answer: because it looks pretty and all my cups are dirty. It’s also pretty damn refreshing and the Cayenne pepper boosts your metabolism. Winning.

Frozen Spinach Smoothie Bowl with Fruit, Greek Yogurt and Cayenne Pepper

Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup frozen peaches
  • 1/4 cup mango chunks
  • 2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup frozen spinach
  • 2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Greek yogurt

Step 1

Let chia seeds expand in almond milk for about 10 minutes in the fridge, then blend with the rest of the ingredients.
