Bubble tea is a magical creation originating from Taiwan and it has made its way across the world, and even Pittsburgh, satisfying tastes with its sweet, creamy, and fruity flavors. Pittsburgh has gained over 10 restaurants and cafes that serve bubble tea and new ones keep popping up everyday.

As a Chinese American and Californian, I have high expectations for my bubble tea and the same goes for a friend of mine. He began making some of his own to replicate the teas he’s tasted and came up with a recipe of his own. It’s super easy and only uses three ingredients. So, what could possibly make it any better? Alcohol… and lots of it. Enjoy.
