How to Get Wasted Off of Ginger Tea
Let’s all be honest with ourselves. Sometimes when we’re drinking tea we think, “Wow, this would taste great with some alcohol in it.” So, here at Spoon, we’re showing you a recipe that makes it okay to drink alcoholic tea. Come on, we’re young, wild, and free—spiking our drinks is what life is all about. Bonus: this cocktail also has the benefits of opening respiratory system if you’re feeling that winter cold while simultaneously giving you a buzz. You’re welcome.

Cook Time: 1-2 minutes
Total Time: 4 minutes

Ingredients:
1 inch ginger root roughly chopped
1 cup water
1 organic lemon
1 tablespoon honey
1-oz. whiskey
Directions:
1. In a small pot heat the water until it reaches it’s boiling point.
2. Add the ginger, lemon and honey
3. Let your drink brew for 1-2 minutes
4. Strain and serve in a mug.
5. Add the shot of whiskey.
