I go through breakfast phase obsessions. They last for months at a time… once it was yogurt, then it was scrambled eggs and toast, it used to be smoothies, and now it is the legendary and delicious, time-saving overnight oats.

I love that you can have your oats whichever way you like them, but this recipe is my favorite oats creation because I’m in love with the chocolate and peanut butter combination. In the morning, this is my little jar of heaven.

I’m sure you have heard this already, but overnight oats really do save you so much time in the morning. If you prepare them in the evening, you won’t have to skip breakfast in the morning as you are rushing out the door.

After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but now it can be the most delicious and easy-to-make meal of the day. Just follow the recipe below and you will be on your way breakfast bliss.

  • Easy

    Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon all-natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup whole grain rolled oats (gf optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
  • 1-2 teaspoon real maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole flax seed
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut (optional)
  • Step 1

Find a nice bowl, or a cute mason jar for your overnight oats to rest in.

  • Step 2

Add all the ingredients into the jar and stir with a fork until everything combines together.

  • Step 3

Place into the fridge and enjoy the next morning for breakfast. You can add fresh fruit on top if you’d like, or even sprinkle on some raw cacao nibs. Lately i’ve been adding sweet, plump, and juicy strawberries, since it’s finally strawberry season again.
