I feel like I can speak for the majority of us that we’ve already picked out our Halloween costume(s). Dressing up as anything you want and eating absurd amounts of candy is my kind of holiday. As Halloween gets closer and closer, maybe you’ve thought about hosting a get-together with your friends or if you’re a Scorpio, a Halloween-themed birthday bash. If you’re stumped on what concations to brew, use this list of ghoulish drinks to get inspired. Here are fave easy Halloween cocktails that’ll make Halloweekend even more fun.
1. Black Magic Aperol Spritz
Just because European summer is over, doesn’t mean you have to wait a whole year to enjoy an Aperol Spritz again. This drink is simple, the only addition you need is black food dye. If you want to get fancy add edible glitter, a blood orange slice, and an eyeball. TikTok user, Tessa Lindsay Garcia, used canned lychee with a blueberry on a toothpick.
2. Black Widow
I do have arachnophobia, but I’ll let this drink slide. The dark appearance catches you off guard with its fruity taste with this cocktail from @twococktailspls on TikTok. Combine blackberries, 30 ml lemon juice, and 30 ml simple syrup and muddle. Add your 60 ml pomegranate juice, 30 ml Chambord, 90 ml vodka, and ice and shake, shake, shake. Pour into a coupe glass and garnish with a skewer of blackberries.
3. Witches Brew
Talk about double, double, toil and trouble. This witch’s brew cocktail is fruity and spooky. Inspired by the already ominous-sounding drink, The Last Word, this brew adds lychee syrup to sweeten up the taste and uses fresh lychees as a garnish for fake eyeballs.
4. Beetlejuice Margarita
Celebrate the new Beetlejuice movie with this fun margarita. The unique thing about this drink is that the ice is made with blueberries to look like eyeballs.
5. Blood Injection Mimosa
Swap pomegranate juice for orange juice for this bloody good version. All you need are plastic syringes to add the juice to the champagne. Get fancy with a strawberry or raspberry purée rim.
6. Monster Mash Mimosa
If you’re not a fan of blood, try the Beetlejuice-inspired mimosa. Made with melon liqueur and sparkling wine, this drink will have you saying, “Let’s turn on the juice and see what shakes loose,” in no time.
7. Spider Web Cosmo
Stay classy with this iconic drink. Simply add black food dye and edible glitter along with the other ingredients, cranberry juice, vodka, Cointreau, and lime juice to your shaker, and then top your glass with melted marshmallows to create a spiderweb. This drink is refreshing and will be superior to the normal vodka cran.
8. Poison Apple
Apple cider is intertwined with feeling cozy. Technically, you could drink this all season long, but the name makes it spooky (so we’re counting it)! Heat up your cider, add vodka, cinnamon, and brown sugar to feel like you’ve been hugged by a warm fuzzy blanket at a campfire.
9. Dracula’s Kiss
Last but not least, Dracula’s kiss. This three-ingredient drink is great for beginner mixologists and it’s simple enough to recite the recipe when you’re out and about on Halloween night. The great thing about this drink is it’s basically a spiked “Roy Rogers” (a childhood favorite), ask for cherry vodka, cola, and grenadine. Omit the vodka for a tasty mocktail that will still have you feeling festive.
