So you accidentally made your class schedule back to back and you’re kicking yourself because it is only halfway through the day and you’re already hangry AF with no break to grab a snack. Oh wait, that was me…
Some of you may be in the same sad boat with me, or maybe you just crave an explosion of fabulous flavor that only this chickpea recipe can provide. The special secret sauce is a gem I picked up in Trader Joe’s once on a whim. The Island Soyaki is a radical blend of teriyaki sauces creating a unique flavor that can be used on chicken, salads, vegetables, and more.
Chickpeas are ridiculously good for you, and some of their various uses include helping you get some good shut eye, and fuel late-night study sessions.
2-Ingredient Garbanzo Beans
Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Open and strain the can of beans and pour into a bowl.
Drown the beans in a 1/4 cup of the magical Soyaki sauce.
Mix well and let the beans marinate in the sauce for 5 minutes.
Place foil on a medium-sized pan and spread the beans out evenly (sauce included) and bake for 15 minutes.
Ding ding! Remove the chickpeas from the oven and let cool before scarfing them down. Refrigerate leftovers in a container.
#SpoonTip: Play around with the temperature and minutes for cooking depending on desired crispness.
