How to Make French Toast out of Frozen Waffles

You wake up mid-afternoon and your stomach is immediately begging for a pile of warm french toast from the fancy brunch place down the street, but your wallet is empty from last night’s late night pizza. Uh-oh.

But don’t freak out just yet. Head over to ALDI, grab some frozen waffles and a few fresh ingredients, and turn ’em into the gourmet french toast you can’t afford for only $0.55. In under fifteen minutes. In your microwave. This is real.

Frozen Waffle French Toast

Instructions

    Whisk together egg and milk.

    Fill a plastic bag with cinnamon cereal and crush until the cereal has become powdery.

    Add the cereal to egg wash and whisk.

    Dip one side of the waffle into the egg wash.

    Chop up the apple.

    Sprinkle crushed cereal and apple pieces onto the egg-washed side of the waffle.

    Microwave for about 45 seconds.
