How to Make Frozen Banana Bites for Under $1

When you just can’t take any more cherry pie from the dining hall or Insomnia cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth, it’s time to get creative.

You’ve got a freezer. You’ve got access to your nearest ALDI. You’ve got time on your hands (why study early when you can cram, amirite?). You can do this. Grab these 4 ingredients and create a (somewhat) healthy yet tasty snack that’ll only cost you $0.95. Whoa. Talk about a #flawless dessert.

Frozen Banana Bites

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 3-4 hours
  • Total Time: 4 hours and 10 minutes
  • Servings: 2-3
  • Easy
Ingredients
  • 2 bananas
  • 1-2 cup Berryhill Hazelnut Spread, melted
  • 1 cup Millville Cinnamon Crunch Squares
  • 1/2 cup Friendly Farms Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt

Step 1

Peel bananas from the bottom (it’s easier).

Step 2

Slice bananas into small pieces, each about a centimeter thick.

Step 3

Add a dollop of Greek yogurt to one slice of the banana.

Step 4

Add a piece of cinnamon cereal, then top it off with another banana slice.

Step 5

Melt hazelnut spread in a microwave safe bowl for about 45 seconds.

Step 6

Drizzle the hazelnut spread onto the bananas until they have almost completely covered the banana sandwiches.

Step 7

Sprinkle crumbled cinnamon cereal on top of hazelnut-covered banana bites.

Step 8

Freeze banana bites for about 3-4 hours.

Step 9

That’s it. Enjoy.
