My family and I will often throw birthday parties for our furry friends (and yes, other pets are invited), and they deserve a good cupcake too. In case your pet’s birthday is right around the corner or you're just being a good dog mom, here's a "pupcake" recipe that'll make them drool.

PB & Carrots Dog Treat Cupcakes

  • 1 cup flour plus more for the frosting
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 2-3 overripe bananas
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

    Gather all ingredients needed for the cupcakes and preheat your oven to 350°F.

    Add your dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix together.

    Add in the peanut butter, vegetable oil, chopped carrots, vanilla extract, honey, and egg and mix well.

    Scoop your batter into cupcake tins.

    Pop your cupcakes in the oven for about 14 min or until golden on the top.

    To make the frosting, mash the bananas in a bowl and stir in the melted butter.

    Mix in some flour until you have a frosting-like consistency (the amount of flour you should add varies).
